hey folks!
I'm from Syracuse NY and I just got a new-to-me '93 XJ. It's my first Jeep, and I'm very happy to have finally gotten it.
I don't know much about DIY maintenance, but I'm definitely excited to learn.
I never really understood the loyalty that the Jeep brand has from people who own 'em, but within 5 minutes of taking mine for a test drive I was hooked

Welcome from Deep South Texas. As you may have figured out we are very loyal to our Jeeps and they are pretty loyal to us but you will need to learn the basic mechanics of their care which we will be happy to teach you. You must explore your Jeep and become familar with her basic components. As you do so you will be faced with questions. We will try to answer those questions or in the least point you towards the answers.

I'm glad I joined here, because I'll probably have lots of questions once I get to doing some work on it. it's good to have a network of people who know certain things
