Anyway I spent the day looking and searching this site confirming all the common issues

I have the cracked exh manifold
Bad front u joints poss bad rf bearing
I think I have a weak LF spring it sets lower
Key switch is worn you can wiggle it and things turn off. Won't always start until you wiggle the key
Rockers are toast.
Mileage is approaching 300k

On the flip side it runs and shifts good (auto), doesn't leak has ok tires and the interior is decent

Thinking this would be a good truck for my son who turns 16 next summer.
Father son project.

 

Welcome to the forum, with good care of it, u can make it last another 300,000 miles. Maintenance is the key here.

Truck still reminds me of AMC wagon inside.

 

They are jokingly called station wagons from time to time.

 

Even smells like an old AMC.

It's not as bad as the 88 limited I had. That really felt like a spirit wagon inside.
Not putting them down. Just an observation.

Fortunately this one is free of rattles and clunks. I don't think it ever been off pavement.
