Hi everyone. New XJ owner from NJ. Bought it from the second owner with 302,000 original miles, and its running strong again after replacing the computer twice and rewiring part of the engine harness. I plan on lifting it a bit and doing some offroading, but primarily this will be my DD.

I am told by the second owner that he fully maintained this vehicle starting when he bought it at 50,000 miles. That included Mobil 1 synthetic oil changes every 3K and trans filter/fluid changes every 30K. Lots of little things wrong but nothing major now that the computer fires up the engine.

I'm in south brunswick. The only picture of my Jeep I have is this one:

It still needs a lot of work. I got it for free though, so I figure any money I put into it at this point is just adding to the overall value. It doesn't "death wobble", so I am pretty happy about that. I plan on adding a lift, some bigger tires, and a winch in the near future.
Only bad thing about my area is there aren't many places to go offroad legally. I plan on taking a trip to the pine barrens real soon though and checking them out. I also have 3 Jeep friends locally, 2 with XJ's and one with a YJ.
