Hey guys,
Just got an '87 Cherokee over the weekend. I've never been into cars before, but for some reason I got super excited when I saw that you could access the oil filter by opening the hood, and I've been trying to find out everything I can since.
I'm guessing this should be for introductions and not advice so... hello!

I've got an 87 myself.
