Hello from an Iowa Jeeper
Howdy Jeepers,
Well I'm finally getting around to my 1st post after being a member for like 6mos and browsing for over a year now.
I've already learned so much from you all and figured it's time I start contributing to the forum.
So we picked up our 1st XJ little over a year ago from original owner's it's a Red '99 with 240,000 of which around 10k
is since we've owned it. It's more the wife's, but I'll be putting in most of the wrench time and she wants it lifted.
It's actually fairly clean with minimal rust for a Iowa vehicle only thing I don't like about it is the aftermarket sunroof they
had installed need to get that leaky thing fixed, but other then that can't complain seems to be a good ol' Jeep.
Needs some TLC here and there and hopefully now that I got timing belt done in car and have my old rusty red S10 4x4
on 31's back running this week should have some time to start wrenching on the XJ.
Got some spacers for the front just got to find some leafs to match the rear and get it rolling on some 31's for now. Also
got the APN header I need to get installed finally now that I got the other vehicle problems taken care of.
Grew up mud running an old Jeep cj5 with the Buick 225 with my mom years ago and glad to have a Jeep back in the family.
I'll try and get some pics posted up soon, but it's nothing special just your typical red XJ for now anyway.
