I just bought my first jeep a 93 cherokee. I'll be bringing it back to the states in Febuary. 4.0L 2wd auto. good for towing motorcycles. now i just have to do some gen maintiance.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your Jeep. I spent three years in Germany on the Government's tab. Are you military? I sure did like it over there, and it was a great time to be there as the Dollar was doing really well against the Mark.
You'll find the Jeep easy to work on. I just went through all the fluids (T-Case, Auto Tranny, Front/Rear Diff, Coolant, Power Steering and Engine Oil) except for the brake fluid (will probably wait until Spring to do that as the brakes were recently serviced by the previous owner), and it was all really easy. I barely had to lift the Jeep on jack stands. Do yourself a favor and get the Lube Locker gaskets for the Diffs and Tranny to make the job easier next time around.

where in germany are you. I am on the border of saarland and rheinland-pfalz. near birkenfeld. but i also go back to yhe states soon. end of december.
