I could do more especially with the pounds of salt on the streets. A good rinsing every now and then would probably help lol

I don't have a problem with rust on mine, it has such a thick undercoating of road grime, salt could never get to it! However it still figures out a way to rust every single bolt on the underside no matter what I do, needless to say, I'm tired of living in a state with salt covered roads.

You're preaching to the choir! Lol my muffler disconnected from the converter and I had to reattach it twice  and crawling under there with dirty salt water dripping onto your face is not fun at all.

Just wait till you're under the Jeep and some of that grime falls into your eye, sooo painful!!! One of these days I gotta get a new exhaust, its got so many leaks it sounds exactly like a diesel, which I can't really complain about though!

Just make revving noises with your mouth while you're driving, that always makes you go faster! Or that could just be me.. How's winter in Chicago so far? Other than extremely crappy?

Not gonna lie.. I do that sometimes lol! Aaaand winter sucks. As it always does. It was below freezing last week and tomorrow it's gonna be 39 and then it's suppose to be 50 on Monday. I hate it lol I'm so over it. The first opportunity I get, I'm getting out of here and never looking back.

who wouldn't love to experience all of the seasons in a 24 hours period -_- lol one of these days I'll find myself down south happy as a clam. And in the "winter" I'll be one of the very veeeerrry few people who can operate a moving vehicle in the snow.. If you can even call it that
:-P

Don't forget to do some basic maintenance too, so it can last longer and u ll be able o enjoy the xj more. Lol

Always use dexron mercon III fluid for the transmission, don't use ATF 4

Ngk or champion copper core spark plugs
Ngk or Taylor wires
Cap and rotor (brass terminals, not zinc plated)
Don't use Fram oil filters at all.
The transfer case uses Dm III but u can use ATF 4 as well.
