Hello everyone, new 01 XJ limited owner here from NYC. Bought the truck with 163k in stock form, with cylinder 3-4 misfire but it runs fine just a little bit of shake when AC is on. Already did a compression test and all came back with 150psi, also tested the block for a head gasket failure with a Napa block tester ( solution stayed blue=good ). Will be changing the plugs tomorrow (NGK V FZR5N - .035) and eventually sending for an oil analysis once I get a couple miles on the fresh oil. I will be going through it and making sure everything is ok and working properly to get it running nice and healthy. I also will be looking into getting the suspension a lil more tight, as I'm more used to the sport car suspension. Oh, forgot the best part, 0 RUST. I looked for it, started on the bottom, engine bay, inside, doors, sides, bumpers, and roof; and there was none to be found.

Even with that I'm happy with my purchase and loving the old girl. So much great info here and just wanted to let you all know i appreciate the contribution and hope I can share my experience as I go along and pass what I learned. If anyone in the 5 boroughs needs a hand wrenching on their Jeep shoot me a pm, a couple of beers will cover for the extra hand .
