Hello....again!
This is more of a re-introduction, as I was forced to sell my XJ a couple of years ago due to financial woes. But alas, I have recovered and recently scored yet another '96' XJ. Unfortunately, this one has power windows, locks, and a Dana 35 instead of the 8.25 rear axle. But I still have the 231, very little rust (which is quite uncommon here in MI) and significantly less mileage. At 130k, I picked up this gem for $2k bucks. Glad to be back in a Jeep, now to plan it's transformation into a decent trail rig! Pics to follow...

I got a pleasant surprise today. After picking up the build sheet on my xj i found that i do in fact have the 8.25 diff. In the rear! Saves me the search down the road for a stronger differential. I guess my first glance underneath was incorrect
