hello there thought i would introduce myself. I'm Gooseboy from New Zealand.
me and my mate have 94 xjs 4.0 4x4 his one has all the leather etc and running full time propane.
mine was the bare bones model 4.0 i say was, sold it to my sis and she killed it.
I am not a noob to cars. as i can say i have owned almost every major manufaturer at least once (not counting exotic or french)
most of the cherokees that came to nz were imported from japan post 94. unless it was private import. chrysler imported them but costed a bundle new...


they only ever had 2 options here from 94 on. 4.0 4wd petrol auto or 2.5 4cyl diesel manual 4wd.
most of the diesel ones were imported by chrysler. me a bit gutted that no 2wd option here. as local chysler prodution stopped in the 80s replaced by mitsubishi* would have made nice alternative to holden(aussie built chev) or ford falcon. but will be buying another cherokee. and making it 2wd. not into playing in the dirt. thats all for now boys and girls
