Greetings from Cen-Tex
Hello fellow XJ fans!
I've been a fan of the Cherokee for many years but just never really got the chance to get into one until recently.
Last Saturday I trailered home my prize... A bone-stock 1996 2WD 4 door Cherokee SE in all it's faded dark metallic blue glory. It's straight as a pin and runs like an absolute champ at 170K on the clock. It's a 4.0L with a manual and is just a stupid amount of fun to drive.
A little background on me... I work as a level 2 systems technician in the IT dept of a community college, I was also previously a fleet upfit mechanic for a local company until they folded from mis-management, and I've done everything else from catering and restaurant management to sales to office work, but the common thread through all of it has been my love of fixing things. If I could do fancy mathematics, I would no doubt have been a mechanical engineer.
But enough of that. Anyways, hello everyone, and I look forward to reading your write-ups and articles and maybe even asking a dumb question or two of my own... But like all projects I look forward most to the learning.
Cheers!
