Greetings from Buda, Tx
Good morning everyone,
Just joined this morning. Looking to get in to my first jeep. Mainly used as a driver but it will see some time in the rocks and mud and on the deer lease. I've got my eye zeroed in on a ZJ model Cherokee as it seems to fit what I'm looking for. Nice and big for driving and hauling family but still capable enough to wheel. I'd like a V8 and auto transmission because Austin traffic sucks something awful and I love the growl of an 8 but I've heard some bad things on the 4.7. Is there anything in particular I need to be checking when I go and look at these? I'm fairly mechanically inclined and can turn wrenches on just about everything so I'm not worried about fixing stuff but don't want to start off with a pile of junk either. Thank you for the help!!

Not yet. Still on the hunt. Trying to find exactly what I want which is a V8 automatic with leather. Plenty of 6's out there but I've got an itch for a rumbling V8 that can't be satisfied any other way. Leather I'm not to stuck on but it would be nice since I'll be driving it more than wheeling but it's not a deal breaker. The v8 and auto though are.
