Default Green as they come

Howdy! Fairly new to the site and jeeps (mechanically I'm greener than a pine tree).
This is my second car, first was a the glorious off roading Geo Tracker that sadly died a few months ago. I like mud and all but I'm more of a trail riding/scenery kind of guy. Don't get me wrong though, give me an opportunity and I'll bathe in mud 😎

But what I have now is a 2000 sport with a 4.5" lift on 33's, and gas isn't really too bad. She's got a few things wrong with her but most of my problems have been solved through simple research on this site. I'll be posting up a thread soon on my VERY slow but fairly decent build!

Pics of when I got it, and when I got it cleaned up for the first time

A snapshot at a few of her problems.
-No rearview mirror (you can tell some guy decided to take the mirror off and took some glass with him)
-cracked windshield right down the center
-New u-joints, front and rear
-Front shocks are shot
-Quick disc. end links are old and rattly so I bought new basic 4.5" links
-disconnected back passenger shock
(guy before me didn't or couldn't fully attach the shock to the body, so he tac-welded one of the connectors of the shock to the body, that fell off so it fell from the body and landed, somehow, In between my exhaust pipe and body and melted at least 50% of the rubber on half the shock)
-slight oil pan leak
-needs a t-case drop
-has somewhat of a very slight knocking sound of which I have no clue what it is and was told it needs an oil change with thicker oil
-needs a rear bumper
-and an annoying popping sound when I turn
(Check my thread in modified section for details)

A lot of this is nothing to most, more like an average weekend but as a jeep virg, it's quite a bit! Thank god this site exists!

You! Most of it looks pretty easy albeit time consuming. Fix it up and It'll give you plenty of miles. Welcome to CherokeeForum man!

Thanks man. Very few forums give a hoot about it's members. One of the reasons why I love owning an xj.
