Default Formal Intro plus Pics

Greetings,

While I haven't formally introduced myself previously, I have had the pleasure of chatting with some of you in the past regarding the selection of my XJ, pricing an XJ, etc.

My name is Jack, I live in the East Bay (California), and about 2 weeks ago I purchased a 1997 Moss Green XJ, 4.0 auto, fully loaded, tilt, power everything, roof console and rear air, yet for some strange reason no cruise control, go figure. It'll definitely be my first 'mod'.

Here's a few pics, and thanks to all who helped me learn a little more about XJ's so I could make a better decision on which one to buy.

Yeah, the xj I am getting has all the options except cruise.

I guess they figured, "Hey, it's a Jeep, they don't need no stinkin cruise!!!"

The only real options my Jeep does have is A/C, Tilt Wheel and Cruise...oh, and it came with a sunroof.

I have a Limited so all options. My cruise doesn't work lol But I don't really need it. Too many hills in these parts to use it anyway.

Looks like you picked up a Nice Jeep though and glad we could be of assistance in helping you pick it out.

Welcome to CF hope to chat with ya soon!

options? Jeeps come with options?
My ZJ had a bunch of options I guess.
there was the option to put in gas or buy groceries.
the option of driving with all the windows down on a hot day or keep pushing the AC button that didn't work.
the option of 4 hi or 4... hi since it was a quadratrac......

I'm looking forward to a ZJ with little or no options..

You guys are funny... I definitely need my cruise control here in CA. It's my DD and cruise on the way to work would be perfect. (yes, believe it or not, here in cali there are one or two stretches of highway that on a rare occasion is not bumper to bumper traffic)
