Greetings Cherokee Tribe! I'm Mike, 28, from Socal.

I just picked up a 95 Cherokee SE, 4x4, and lifted! My first 4x4. Ive always owned lowered autocross/drift type cars. I also currently own a rad little 99 Miata. I had to sell my old spare car to pay some bills but I still need a second car cuz I'm a crazy driver and occasionally I break my Miata haha. So with the money left over I bought my Cherokee. I wanted something cheap and reliable and as a child my parents bought a brand new 92 Cherokee Loredo 4x4 and we kept it for 17 years! They put 330,000 miles on it. Never opened the motor or transmission. These seem to be great vehicles and they also have sentimental value to me. I wasn't set out on getting a lifted XJ but this looked like all kinds of fun I've never had so I bought it! That's my story!

I'm gunna fix the Miata up now that I have the XJ!

Nice! I sold my rusty NA auto cross machine to help fund buying my jeep. It had so much rust we named it the rust rocket. I've always loved miatas. So fun to drive. But I was happy to see that nightmare pull out of my driveway.

Welcome to the jeep world!

Thanks guys.

Of course my XJ has a cracked manifold. OEM replacement with flex tubes look fine but I like any excuse to upgrade. Are there any recommendable aftermarket headers that will at least increase gas mileage? $200-300 is my budget.
