Looks like your tent was close too? (in the background of one of the pics)
Thanks guys. You are correct, the tent is behind the Jeep in that photo. Our dog was by the tent when it happened and he is recovering from the shock just fine.

No doubt. The Cherokee already has a rebuilt title and has seen some stuff. Only 4 months into owning it and a tree falls on it. I bought this one because I wanted the I6 for reliability, I didn't realize how reliable the rest of it was.

Close call there but as you said the Jeep saved you. Jeeps will do that. Your jeep deserves a prize. Maybe a new winch and winch bumper.

Jeff, welcome to CF from Buck over on the west side. Thanks for the story. I's alway good to hear a story about a how hard earned money spent on a good rig actually saved lives. It's just a scratch. Most of it will buff out. Until you can fix it, the dents just add character to a Jeep. You now have a story to tell when sitting around the campfire and I'm sure you will keep that Jeep, now, until the wheels fall off of it. I know I would.

If you ever get a hankerin' to come over and wheel on the west side, look me up. There is a group of us westside XJ guys who are planning a trip over to your side to wheel Natches the last weekend in July. It would be cool to hook up and meet if we don't get a chance to before then.
