first cherokee but not first jeep
My name is Chris
I live in the TX panhandle in Hall County (Memphis, TX) where I work for the Sheriffs Office as a patrol deputy.
Im also a member over on myjeepforum.com, texasjk.com and several ford truck forums (all with same username)
I currently own a 1967 Kaiser-Jeep M35A2 6x6 and just sold my 1975 Ford Bronco.
This isnt my first Jeep...I had a 95 YJ all through highschool and now my parents still own/drive it as a fun vehicle.
Well I pulled the trigger on a 1996 XJ w/a H.O. 6cyl swapped from a 1998.
This is my first XJ and Im hoping to learn all I can so it can keep me on the road for several years as a daily driver and weekend wheeler.
Im ready to take her wheeling ASAP and start modding (I dont really like the current stance)
Details below.
This guy had recipts for EVERYTHING done to this jeep in terms of maint or other work.
I was in the market for either a F350 4x4 w/7.3 (only found one IDI that was in so/so shape) or a cherokee and I found this one about an hr away.
4.5" lift
Rubicon Express uppper and lower control arms and track bar
full 4.5" springs front/rear
limited slip rear
3.73 gears
Recent maintenance:
Ujoints - front and rear shafts, axles
ball joints
brakes/rotors
front wheel hubs
battery
crank positions sensor
fuel pump
rebuilt transfer case
radiator
transmission cooler
headliner
shocks
