That was something that I did NOT like when I purchased it: the lack of even a rudimentary oil pressure, temperature and volt/amp instrumentation and a tachometer. Mine has no tach and idiot lights for power, oil and temperature. So, I would not even be able to tell if the thing was heating up until it was screwed.

I had a Cavalier with a bad water pump and was able to work another week, in the summer time, without damaging the heads because I could watch the temperature gauge.

NO vehicle is perfect but I think not having proper instrumentation is a really huge mistake in all vehicles that just have warning lights. They might as well read: "ATTENTION, WE JUST COST YOU A GRAND OR MORE, YAY!"
