Hello,
After over a decade of being XJless, I am finally glad to report making a purchase on a 1998 Jeep Cherokee!! Looking forward to many years of use and going camping with my boys. I'll update with pics once I pick it up.
As for us. We are a military family and live in CA. Been here about 3 months. Have experienced some of CA but not the full monty yet. Looking at Camping this weekend in Monterrey. Beautiful area!! If anyone from CA has any great recommendations please let us know.
Thank you for a great site. Hope to get to know some people on here.

Welcome to the forum. I lived just West of you in San Leandro, and really enjoyed the Bay Area. The weather in East Bay is about as good as it gets in my estimation. What's your past XJ experience? I've owned a '92 2-door 4-cyl SE, '99 4-door Sport, a 2k 4-door Classic and now have a '96 2-door SE with the 4.0. The '92 and '99 were both purchased by me as new vehicles, so I've been Jeeping with XJs for a while. I've also had three TJs and a couple of Grand Cherokees.

Robert, thanks for the welcome. Had a 1999 Jeep Cherokee in 2002. It was that purple color. Wish I would have kept it. That thing was mint! I'd probably have 300,000 plus on it. Where did you wheel in the East Bay area?

No where to wheel over there that I know. I was XJless at the time, and had to settle for good times on my motorcycle.
