Back in bussines, again.
Hello everyone,
I'm from Florida, not new to Jeeps since I used to own a TJ for several years.
I joined back in 08 but have not been active at all since I got stuck in Wrangler Forum.
Ok back to the point, Finally my days driving for work long miles are done, now I only drive to the airport and then drive back home, no need for a fuel efficiency car since I only drive twice a week
I decided to get a Jeep to make my weekends fun again.
This time I realized that I wanted a highway friendly Jeep, and I always liked the shape of the XJ from 98-01 so I started the search few months ago.
What a nightmare, Traveled all over Florida and how hard it was to finally get something decent.
Its funny how people call low miles to 160 k plus!!! Or little rust to holes in the quarter panel or heavy corrosion under the doors or suspension system and Also crazy prices just because 2" BB's and sellers claim suspension lifts!!!
and of course crazy prices like 7k for a average 150k miles 4x4 XJ.
Honestly almost give up until I found this 01 with 115 miles, 4x4, no rust and average Year/ miles XJ silver with 60th anniversary edition badge ( Not to crazy about special editions, since I think most of them are only marketing techniques) for $5500 out of the lot.
Interior is clean and surprisingly good, has the factory 60th year aniv. Edition carpets and besides that I don’t see any difference with other 2001 trim.
Well if I did everything right you should be able to see the pics of the Jeep.
I dropped the deposit today and I will pick her up on Saturday. Sorry to make it long but had to vent my frustration of searching a worth to keep XJ.
Its funny to see the face of the seller or sales man when they realized that you know what to look in Jeeps.
Again hello and thanks.
