I suppose I will make myself an introduction thread, as I am sure I am going to have plenty of questions to ask as I grow more attached to Cherokees.
I was recently gifted with a 1996 Cherokee Sport, 4.0HO, Auto. Thing is a beauty. The sugar coating is that it only has 89,000 original miles. Runs like a top as well. She is as stock as the day she left the factory, apart from an aftermarket radio.
The only downside, and the reason I want to sell it and pick up another one, is that this particular Cherokee is only 2WD. And I am moving into the off roading world with intentions of having fun and going deep into the back woods to camp and whatnot.. And I live in Flagstaff, and 2WD is unacceptable for my situation with the snow.

I have had it out in the woods near my house so far, and I am still pretty impressed with where it can go, being 2WD and sitting on all seasons.

Since I plan on selling it, I suppose this intro thread is a little worthless. I do have my eyes on a couple of other 4WD Cherokees that I want to choose from once mine sells.
I do have a couple of buddies who are deep into the Cherokee game, and I have done plenty of work on them in the past, so I am not completely clueless.
And while I am still ready to spend a lot of time underneath a Cherokee, I still have to focus some attention on my other automotive hobby.

Well for now, I guess this intro will do. All I can say is, I cannot wait to get my hands on a lifted, big tires, 4WD Cherokee that I can push up and over some obstacles.

I picked up another XJ shortly after selling my first.
This one features a 5" Long Arm lift and 31's. Auto tranny, 4.0HO, 190k miles. 4wd for sure. Also has a terrible case of DW, which I am going to try to fix with a HD track bar and new tie rods, as well as checking all sorts of connections and greasing every joint.
Here are a couple of pictures. A general tune up has already been conducted, but there are still a few more things that I want to look into and replace.

I got to put her to the test on a camping trip over this last weekend. Very much excited at its capabilities.

And this one was for good measure.
