Default Another Jeeper from PA

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself and my Jeep. I'm from South East Pa and live about and hour from the Rauch Creek Off Road Park so I'll definitely will be making some trips there this year. I am a aircraft mechanic so hopefully some of my knowledge will be helpful. I've always wanted a Cherokee as long as I can remember and finally this past fall I bought one! I have a 2000 Cherokee Sport 4x4 with the 4.0L and it's in very good condition and was well taken care of by the original owner. I'm just at 197,000 Miles now and I've been through the motor, frame, body, suspension and drive tran and it is rock solid all the way around. We have some more snow coming tonight so I'm already excited to go out and do some field driving for now until I find some trails. I'm using the Cherokee as my daily driver but I have many many plans for it. Would like to get it up a bit higher and get it more trail ready. I look forward to connecting with other Jeepers both locally and acroos the USA. It certainly is a Jeep thing because this Cherokee is hands down my favorite vehicle to date. Here's a few pictures if they show up.

Thanks. That's what I figured when I bought it. Seems like a solid XJ to build up from. Going start start with the suspension and go from there.

That's a good place to start, I recommend figuring out what size tires you want to run then lift accordingly.

31s or 33s...but I'm really not sure. Can you recommend anything I'm looking at a 3" Rough Country lift?

If your budget is tight I'd stick with 31"s, because with 33"s I'd think you would need to regear. A 3" lift should be fine for 31"s, I haven't tried rough country personally but I think alot of CF members have. I just put bushwacker flat flares on mine and really like them, they provide so much more clearance. If you go with a 3" lift and 31s and latter decide to go bigger I think you could get some cut out flares (like bushwacker flat flares or similar) and fit 33s.
Here's a pic of mine I'm running a 3" lift and 31" Falken rocky mountain ats.

Yeah there's some up in phoenixville, and few other places, I haven't been there though. I like to go in the pinelands in New Jersey.

I've heard the pinelands are cool but someone said never go alone there especially first time. But I guess that goes for a lot of trails

Yep, know exactly where that is. I had family there when we were kids.
