i am a proud owner of an 88 xj pioneer. i bought it with a busted transfer case. i swapped the transfer case and now doing the once over. oil change diff. service flush cooing system etc. what else do i need to look for. i have been trying to read all the threads but seem impossible. the main thing i will look at is to see if i have the front axle disconnect and lock it in. what i dont care about is all the unnessacery vacuum lines, cruise control and emissions that i dont need. sorry for the long post. thanks for looking. pics to come shortly
