1996 Cherokee Classic
Just picked up my first jeep a 1996 cherokee classic 4x4 NP231, Dana 30&35, new rims and 32in BFG A/T's with a rough country 3in lift. Super clean for what it is, no rust, cut and rolled fenders. Wanted to get some ideas about how to make this a trail friendly daily driver. I have a little bit of cash to throw at it and was wondering what you guys thought about upgrading the rear drums to a disc set up? Any axle swap you guys can think of that is easily done? My xj has ABS from what I have read seems like that can be an issue unless there is a direct swap from another model with ABS. Let me know what you guys think if its worth upgrading the D35 or swaping for something stronger.
Well decided to keep this thing the way it is. No sense in fixing what isn't broken. Got to finally do some work on Betsy. Hurclined the rocker panels and over the fenders. The hurculiner isnt perfect but neither is the jeep. Just got to do one more coat on both sides then she is done. Also installed some KC 55w lights and almost have them completely wired up.
