Default 1987 Cherokee Chief 2dr!

Hi Guys,

Just bought a 1987 Cherokee Chief 2dr, manual, 4.0L. She is no beauty queen but not a lot of rust, floor boards still solid and made it over 60kms home so cant be to bad for $600 cdn. The transmission is a ***** to find 3rd due to all the slop in the shifter, no whining though but I am going to try to swap a AX15 in when I find one locally, not my daily driver anyway so not to concerned. Interior in excellent condition, rocker seats and all, power locks and windows dont work but got the dash lights working.

The renix is a pain spent the last day fixing grounds and still have a few more to fix and clean, then I have to fix the heater core as previous owner just disconnected it when the hcv broke instead of buying another connector...was cold as hell driving home below freezing.

Yup, that's a Dana 44. Awesome find man! That's a really cool, old school XJ. Best of luck with the build up, and welcome to the forum!

The pattern on the seats is awesome as well, that Jeep really has a lot of character. I'm glad to see it will continue to live on!
