What about a hybrid bracket, for using 97-up console in a 96-down?

I could just cut out the top part without the 3 legs. Then you would have to make legs for it.

Just got mine installed. The stock plastic one was in pieces. Very sturdy now.

Got mine installed last night. Thanks again never knew that mine was in pieces. No my console isn't loose. The only problem I had was breaking a bulb
