I agree they're strong enough. Do you really want to yank on a d ring with a big spare tire on the hitch too? I wouldn't have an issue with light stuff but I mean a big recovery situation I wouldn't...

Your jeep will weigh about the same stock or modified lol
Anyway, I've pulled on it before to tug a guy out, i think its fine to just strap to the base and pull.

Well I guess I was referring to the fact I don't go as crazy as some one with 38s and lifted 8in, can't bury my self as deep and stuff like that.

That would drive cost up a bunch, I'm trying to keep cost down to make this more available to the guys on a budget.
