You're talking $100~ for a used touchpad on eBay and maybe $30 for a bezel at the jy and a little time to make the hole. Just saying

Unless you are including every component for it to be plug and play the exact same setup, there is no way its worth anything more than a slight bump above cost for your time and materials. Good luck with the sale though.

 

Maybe you ought to create a production line using the custom mold you made instead of asking $500 for that lol.

 

Not bashing but I mean does that include your plane ticket to hand deliver and install? what wiring skills would you need? You can just run a hidden head unit and an aux to it. I have like 5 tablets collecting dust laying around and all I would need is the dash kit. This could be modified easily from the stock trim surround. There are very few people shelling out $500 for anything stereo related in an xj that could be broken into with a screw driver. I'm an audiophile myself and this is a great idea. You need to make the dash kit and sell it for like $30-$45. Great idea although!

 

So what happens to your vents if you install this? Does the system just blow hot or cold air on the back of the tablet?

 

you'd have to reroute your vents.. It's not worth $500 .. Maybe $150 at most. But notice the OP has been MIA. Lol
