The 99+ intake on a stock 98-4.0 is a waste of time people, ive been there and done it! It kills your low end tourqe the only way your gonna benefit from that intake is with a cam swap. Jp magazine proved it! Look it up people

Plus if you would have read correctly, the title of the thread is 99+ intake. You good sir are just an idiot or jumping in and making a ******* of yourself with this above quoted statement. Your the idiot that took the intake off a 99+ and put it on a 98. That was your stupidity. So you need to apologize for bashing this thread when it had nothing to do with what him selling intakes to ppl that know what they are doing, unlike you. Have a good day sir

I'd be interested in buying an intake mani. The 99+ XJs are hard to find here.

Hey buddy, you still selling these manifolds?
And I know this may be a stupid question, but these are the later model 1999 manifolds with rounded runners, correct?

I know this is an old comment but...JP magazine???? LOL. Like I'm going to take the word of a couple of guys at some magazine over the engineers at Daimler-Chrysler. It's a well known fact that the engineers at Jeep redesigned the intake in 1999 to help restore some of the power lost with all the newly required emissions control devices. As anyone who drag races or runs a street rod can tell you one of the first things you do to "beef" a car up and gain some power is to upgrade the intake manifold to a larger better flowing one. Companies like Edelbrock spend a fortune designing and testing them. There are lots of guys who have done this upgrade and have posted the dyno results showing the HP/torque gains. I've seen the article in this "JP magazine" you mention and all I can say is they must have done something wrong or there was a problem with the Jeep they used or they are just full of themselves and want to appear smarter than professional automotive engineers and the entire NHRA racing community.

So to get back on thread. 1slo_ is a stand up guy and this is a good deal for the intakes.

Sounds good, keep me posted. If you find one put me on the list of buyers. Thanks.
