Thank you. It means alot. You are correct, I really do appreciate response I have received here on Cherokee Forum. This is the only place that I offer these for sale. I pride myself in the fact that the parts I offer come from rust free southern Jeeps. I have seen others selling rusted up parts from the northern states for more than I charge.

Thank you to everyone who has been a customer in the past & to those see buying one in their future.
The drawing will be on Christmas day. Merry Christmas.

CONGRATS Fred/N0AZZ! Big David, you're a good man. I'll hit you up in a few months to do this conversion myself.

The one in the picture above was for the Christmas raffle. I can send you a kit with all of the items included. The price would be $290 shipped to your door.

My $170 kit (that I normally sell) contains a ZJ porportoning valve, spring, cap & everything pictured below (only the drivers side emergency brake cable is included ).

As always, I suggest reusing the stock XJ e brake cables along with a small cable clamp. For all the '97 up guys/gals, I always include a driver's side cable for those who want to make it "like factory". The ZJ cables will not work on the '96 down because they are too short. You will need to get gear oil, gasket maker, and may as well change out the wheel bearings while you have it all apart.

I bought a kit from you last year. You made me a righteous deal. Thanks again. Between what was on my Jeep and what you sent in the kit I was able to get everything installed and working. I purchased Centric brake rotors and ceramic brake pads for 1998 ZJ. From Partsgeek...for cheap

However, it wasn't working as well as it should. The brakes would make a gnarly groaning sound when backing up...and I couldn't get the parking brake to work. Recently, I tore into the rear brakes and got it all sorted out...so I thought I'd pass on what I did that fixed it.

1. Pulled the slider pins out of the calipers and greased them, and greased the contact points on the pads as well. No more groaning in reverse.

2. Cut away all the spring (that wraps around the cable) on the end of the parking brake cables. This needs to be bare, or the spring will bind when the cable gets pulled before the brake shoes can grab the drums.

3. Drilled a hole in the brake line bracket and mounted it to the top of the U-bolt. I had to buy a pair of 1/2-20 nuts. This worked out perfectly and located the brake line in an ideal position.

4. Installed all the longer studs in the axles. Stupid me didn't do it first time around. Don't skip this step; there's barely enough threads to hold the wheels on with the old studs.

Now, the brakes work great; much better than stock. Thanks again.
