I have a complete, (drum to drum) working, Dana 35, open rear axle with 3.55 gears. This rear end came from my 91 XJ Limited when I upgraded to the Dana 44.
It can be picked up in Lomita CA. just about any time during the week or weekend.

Junkyard diving. Look at the 87's with the factory tow package. It's the one with the factory 7 pin connector. They mostly have 242 transfer cases. Hope it helps. The yard I bought mine was unaware it is a 44 so I got it for 150 and it has 3.55 gears and a limited slip. I have the gears still since I have 4.88's.

X2 on the junk yard! At "Pick Your Part" they don't really care what model rear end it is, it's one price for most rear ends, 3/4 and one ton rears are more. disc brake rears are also more $$$. I paid about $175.00 and I think mine came from an 87 as well. I really wasn't looking for a rear end when I ran across my 44, but I grabbed it because I knew I wanted to put one in eventually.Originally Posted by dark_jeep
