Tossing around the idea of selling old reliable. Looking for an old project truck. It’s a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport (XJ). This Jeep has been built to be an all around vehicle using quality parts. It will do 5 rated trails on the rocks, it will pack and get you where you need to go on long expedition trips, drive down the highway at 80-90 mph just fine, and all while still looking nice and clean. I used this as a work / play vehicle putting 1000-1500 highway miles a week. The odometer reads 191K and I’ve had it since the odometer read 140K miles. There is a mileage discrepancy on the history. Previous owner says due to replacing gauge cluster. It didn’t bother me; the engine runs strong and the trans shifts good. I’ve maintained it religiously and the previous owner was a mechanic who did the same. Anyone who knows these vehicles know you can get 300K plus no problem if you take care of them. I would not hesitate to drive this Jeep cross country, wheel it, then drive back. This is no trailer queen. The exterior has normal scratches from off roading with no dents or major damage. It still cleans up nice. The interior is in good condition with no rips or tears on the seats. Will clean up to look next to new. Looking to ask $9000 or best offer.
