1989 Jeep xj pioneer(portland)
I'm selling my 1989 Jeep cherokee pioneer. It was purchased 2 years ago as a project rock crawler, but was never fully finished. I'm asking $1500 OBO or trade for a smaller car that gets good gas milage.
The good: new serpentine belt, new rough country track bar, new head unit, new speakers, new motor mounts, new tranny mount(uninstalled), new Chrysler 8.25 c clip with 4.56 gears, new clutch disc, pressure plate and slave cylinder, new ball joints, new u joints, new driver side hub bearing, flowmaster 40 muffler, and new brakes all around. New starter with lifetime warranty. Rusty's 4.5 inch lift kit with full leafs and mid length control arms. 33/12.5r15 tires with a full sized spare.
The bad: gets the death wobble on hotter days starting with the passenger side tire( just needs a new hub bearing), o2 sensor is acting up a bit, still runs great, no 4x4 as the front differential is still geared at 3.07, no horn, and broken speedometer, sometimes the slave cylinder leaks and you have to bleed the system, just a bad o ring in the bellhousing. Cracked windshield.
The jeep has the infamous inline 6 with the HO block and renix head. It has the BA 10 5 speed tranny, np231 transfer case. The jeep has around 170k miles on it. The speedo stopped working around 8k miles ago. Rust free! I would love to keep this jeep, but we need a more economical car to get us to and from work.
