Model: Cherokee (XJ)
1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo from Socal in NYC
Classic Jeep Cherokee Laredo
$4,000... or best offer. (I am parking it on the street in new York City, so that has to end soon. :0) )
My old standby vehicle has been with me in Southern California since 1998. I bought it from a friend (original owner) who kept it as well as I have.
Runs perfectly--I just drove it across the country with no problems.
No rust, clean upholstery, floors, dash, etc.
Great suspension, tires, brakes, heater, CD player. I never used the AirCon—it blows but not cold, so it probably need refrigerant.
196,000 easy miles
I never missed a 3,000 mile oil change, and I have every single repair work bill and receipt, and a spreadsheet with all that info.
Excellent condition for its age. That being said, full disclosure, there are many little things that need fixing:
- I have never used the 4WD; I was told it didn't work.
- driver side power lock doesn't work.
- back power windows are not working.
- driver side seat belt buckle needs replacing.
- driver and passenger interior door handles loose.
- interior lights do not go off when doors are closed, so I just took out the bulbs.
- a small exhaust pipe leak--was recently permanently repaired.
- fog lights mounted on front bumper are broken and rusted--which accounts for the rust stains on the front bumper.
That's it--minor stuff.
I hope that someone will appreciate the great condition and classic styling of this beauty.
Call or text Jon.
