84-01 XJ HD Steering Box Spacer
Steel 3/16 plate with 1" x .250 DOM spacers. Replaces stock aluminium spacer using existing bolts. Plate extends back and provides extra mounting point using a user provided bolt. Made to order. If I get group orders of 3 or more I can give a break each and even more break if all are shipped to one address. Prices include USPS Priority Shipping.

If the clunk is due to the spacer being cracked and as a result the steering box moving is actually causing the clunk.. then yes. The clunk could be from someplace else. Best way is to remove box and see if spacer is cracked. If not make sure bolts are properly tightened and check for clunk again.

The slot does not have to be used but it lines up with an existing hole so you can put a bolt through it for more support. Its best used if you end up having extended bumper bracket and the bolt would go through both the spacer and the bumper bracket. If you ever get an aftermarket bumper or make your own it will come into play.
