zone off road 4.5 lift
 

Hey guys I'm looking more into depth on this zone lift kit. Just wondering if anyone has any positives or negatives on it. http://m.ebay.com/itm/171442131404?nav=SEARCH. And anything else I might need to get with it as well.

Personally I wouldn't recommend zone lifts.. If you want inexpensive go with RC or Rustys. You will also need brake lines with that zone kit.

I have heard they ride kind of stiff, but I have no experience with that lift.

I really like mine. I have nothing bad to say but I have never had any other experience with any other lifts.

Talk about hitting the bottom of the barrel.

I've had the Zone 4 1/2" kit on mine for 2 years now. No real sag and it rides good. Not stiff but not spongy either. With leaves in the rear.

Isnt Zone a sister company of BDS? Id much rather take a Zone lift over RC or Rustys.

Yes, their associated with BDS. This is their budget line.

And, Zone has all the extensions in their kit and a transfer case drop. Does anyone else?

Yeah I'm staying away from rc I've seen there lifts and they do not have any longevity unless your a street queen. I actually use my jeep that's why I was asking and thanks for the opinions as they are duley noted. Also I'm imaging that a transfer case drop kit is needed?

I've used them on 3" kits. Usually every Jeep is different to what it needs. I would go with a SYE with a 4 1/4 kit.

Id say its needed at 4.5" forsure, but Id look into a sye instead.

Youll regret getting their AAL no matter what condition your leafs are in. The shocks likely wont last long. Adjustable control arms should be added or at least uppers with the fixed lowers in that kit. You will want shackle relocation brackets, one of the best upgrades you can add. Transfer case drop and degree shims will be needed or better yet SYE.

I put their 3" kit on two years ago. Shocks barely lasted a year, the AAL tweaked my leafs in just a couple months. Coils were way too stiff. Replaced everything except the sway bar end links and I am much happier. Just my opinions.

Personal taste I guess. Remember, it's not a Cadillac. Don't expect it to ride like one.

I like my zone 4.5. Like said the the ride is firm but not harsh. The parts are beefy and well made. Im not a fan of the poly bushings that came with the rear springs and shackles but the lca have fixed rubber bushings and have put up to the abuse so far. I went straight to a sye and bought adjustable uppers. Remember though there is a bit of caster adjustment in the lca mounts. Buy it and ride then upgrade from there.
