Ok her eit goes...I am a little bit new to the jeep world i have a 1999 6cly 4L, in september I put in a 4.5"rough country lift, new shocks, add-a leafs and control arms. Had help from a amily friend who did a few lifts on wranglers

I was un able to get on one the bolts out to lower the transfer case so I figured that was not a big deal, I put on 33's and it drivers great had it allinged, everything re tightened after 5,000 miles

But i live in Western NY and we get some tuff winters so I put on the stock 17" tires and had been hearing noises not heard because of the bigger tires. Sounds like a rubbing or knocking noise ONLY happens when i accelerate when going over 35mph and deacclerate to slow down, took it to our local garage that my family takes everything too very reliable. they took a look at with me there and they took the front and rear drive shaft and messed with that, noticed the front was fully extended but they could not diagnose the noise fully....

SO i need more opinons what do I do next? Look into a SYE?

It is my daily driver and a toy on the weekends

SYE is for the rear, you don't need one for the front as it does not have a slip yoke coming out there. Perhaps a longer front DS to solve the extension issue, certainly wouldn't hurt since the current one appears to be short. That being said, if you're running stock rear DS and slip yoke, by all means look into an SYE for that end of it. I imagine your angles are way off back there.

 

are yout alking drive shaft angles are off??? that may be a cause of the noise??
