Never seen it? I think you might be thinking about it backwards. It's not about what size tires go with which lift. It's what is the minimum lift you can run with your choice of tire sizes without trimming more then you are willing.

i ran 35s on 4" lift on my zj, and had some decent uptravel, but plenty of downtravel. wheeling was so stable in that rig. my xj was 34s on 4.5" as well. drivetrain angles were great on both rigs, and super easy to adjust. big, tall lifts are becoming a thing of the past.
