for that price and your situation I would suggest a flowkooler high flow water pump and tstat
it pumps 2x the coolant when you're running low rpm (as in traffic, crawling, etc)
I've never run efans. they just seem like a bandaid for a cooling system that is improperly setup
the flowkooler pump is like $100. I'd rather spend my money on that. also check your radiator and make sure it's in good shape

Review from the site: " Is not worth it. Aluminum is thin and flimzy. Fans are china junk, pull mad amperage. Jeep now overheats worse then before. Even have a new 3 row rad."

I'm telling you right now those fans are worthless if your radiator is shot
Check your rad and cooling system. And if you're still just dying to run an electric fan just go pull one from a junk yard for much cheaper

Why don't you fix the problem instead of trying to put more air on it?

I can think of half a dozen upgrades that are more useful and cheaper than those $230 fans

new radiator and water pump
zj fan clutch, 97 and up xj fan blade, taurus efan
motor mounts
ruffstuff frame stiffeners
rock sliders
durango steering box and ZJ setup
hell a damn aussie locker is $250

any of those listed items are much better upgrades. I like DBO but in my opinion NO those fans are not worth $230
especially if your engine needs general maintenance work in the first place

Heck a plastic one from O'Reilly's will work just as good.

A properly running Jeep doesn't NEED anything other than stock.

My trail Jeep has a stock radiator, stock electric fan and a stock mechanical fan (that's missing the shroud) and never runs hot...

just my thoughts but the jeep cooling system works fine the problem is underhood temps. i ran 8 hours crawling around wellsville in 95degree heat never got over 190 with ac on to boot. secrect. cowl iduction hood. i currently have a cheapy 45 dollar summit hood scoop and works great. looks like crap but works amazing. all heat problems are solved if you can move hot air out.

also to all you brainiacs out there who play in giant mudholes. clean your radiatiors out. pop the hood, if you have to pull the e-fan and garden hose the mud that is robbing cooling power from your jeep. ive bought several jeeps off of guys who claim the head gasket was toast or water pump shot or they pull the stat in an effort to cool it down when all they have to do is maintain their equip. thanks

ps no fan imo worth that kind of loot

I had the DBO kit and it never worked right. First off the fans never came on when they should have, my dad(electrical engineer) traced all the wires, and they should have came on. I might have gotten a bad sensing switch, maybe. After I rewired the fans to a manual switch to all be on at once the jeep overheated sitting at idle, and while driving. Then the cheap flimsy aluminum shroud flexed and let the center fan touch a pulley, breaking the cheap chinese fan case. I am overall very disappointed with this kit, BIG waste of time and money

And just so you know, I did the "upgrade" because I had the extra money and though it would be cool. I have a new head gasket/new cylinder head, hesco hi-flow water pump, 98' XJ electric fan, ZJ fan clutch, 165 degree thermostat, and my E-fan on a switch(that I hardly ever turn on). I have had absolutely no issues with cooling on-road or off-road, but I do want to replace my radiator with a CSF unit, and add either a cowl hood or hood vents.

But just so we are clear, the DBO fan kit sucks!! IMO
