So, after my 3.5" RE lift and netting 7 inches plus lift over the original sagging springs. Things just dont ride right, I didnt do my alignment right away, I for the most part parked the xj till I could get it done. At this time I found the stock steering setup to by very weak looking and all the adjustment points were rusty as hell.
I bought the zj tie rod and ends. and replaced the adjuster and end at the pitman. Kept the factory drag link for more so the fact that no one had a replacement in stock at any reasonable price. I also replaced the track bar as my axle shifted after some severe death wobble and I believe bent that old track bar. All the replacement stuff was much more heavy duty.
I set my alignment after replacing everything. And the jeep drives straight with a straight wheel. But man does it ever wander around and follow road contours. If I make the slightest move in the wheel it just wants to shoot over to that direction. I feel like I'm constantly correcting and recorrecting while driving down a straight road.
I have yet to replace my stabilizer but I figure if things are working correctly it shouldnt wander regardless or the stabilizer. I also have some really ****ty mud terrain tires that are quite out of round and a think over inflated. I'm going to drop the pressure a little bit and see if that helps.
I'll be getting new tires soon, just needed something to get on the road when I got these.
