Default the wobble

hi i have a 1990 jeep cherokee limited 4x4 4.0l. i have a 4.5 inch bds lift kit on 31 10.50 r15s. unfortunatly i have the death wobble and i cant seem to figure out why so i am hoping someone can help me out. i have replaced both hub assemblies and inner and outter tie rod ends and the stabilizer shock and track bar and bushings. the front end feels tight. its starts to wobble around 50 mph and gets worse to the point where i can barley control the jeep. i have a 2 year old son and a 2 month old daughter and i am trying to make it safer. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

have you looked at the tre at the pitman arm? Also did you check how tight your steering box bolts are? Also how are your ball joints?

Get your tires balanced. Get an alignment.

Take a look at your ball joints by jacking up one of your tires, grabbing it at 12 and 6 and see if there's any up/down play.

I just had the same thing after lift and alignment. It was my tires out of balance.
Get your tires checked

Is it death wobble where you must come to a near stop to make it cease, or is it a bad shimmy? Death wobble has a tendancy to be at even lower speeds than 50, and is triggered by hitting bumps.

If it is death wobble, there are oh so many things that can contribute. The starting checklist is:
-Do a 12 and 6 as well as 3 and 9 shake on the front tires while off the ground to check ball joints and TRE's.
- Check the joints on both ends of the drag link
-Check for tight bolts on the steering box - all three mounting bolts and the pitman arm nut
-Look for play in the track bar joints on both ends, as well as the track bar bracket
-Was the kit installed with a replacement track bar, trackbar mount, and pitman arm? If any of those were replaced without the others, this is the problem (or at least a big part of it).
-All control arm bushings
-Alignment
-Tire balancing
-Good steering stabalizer shock. This is a mere band aid to a DW issue, however having a working shock on there will reduce frequency.

Good luck!

I am sorry i didnt say this in the beginning but yes i checked the tightness on the steering box and it is tight and i checked the track bar and it is tight and there is no movement in the balljoints. But the top of the tires do lean in. And the pitman arm is factory and t
he trac bar is oem. It has factory upper control arms and adjustable lower contirol arms.

The track bar is OEM at 4.5"? It's not even redrilled? Or doesn't have a drop bracket? Your geometry is probably off. Take it to an alignment shop
