When i went to AutoZone to get one they had "electronic flasher", that's all they had. Is that the same as a relay?

No, go to the next auto store. It needs to be the accessory light one. It's in the same section.

Normally mine are on like an aisle cap. Ask them for a "40 amp accessory relay".

Really. I'm happy that the autozones closest to me are actually taken care of. Not the smartest employees but shelves are normally stocked

So OP, you got homework to do. Track down the relay. And get a 20a inline fuse holder too. Start wiring and mount light bar in the mean time

In my store they're usually hanging right near all the "offroad" lights.

I never use the store ones anyway. I pull a couple handfuls of standard relays everytime I go to a junk yard. OEM headlight relays out of random cars are pretty durable.

I've only hand one store brand one crap out. It was on my low beams too. Seemed like the pin was the problem, not the relay inside

Yes, next time at jy pull some out of older expedition engine bay box. They are made by Bosch and very durable. Just have to make brackets to mount them, but worth it for good relays, cheap.

I have had those pilot relays melt and fail. Never had a Bosch fail yet.
