Default Winch wiring to the rear

Anyone ever use the bulldog winch wiring and quick connects?
I'm looking at running 2g or better to the rear for winching. Might hook the solenoid into the engine bay and then run a plug to the winch itself. Suggestions?

Supposedly winches can draw 400+ amps. How in the hell does it not burn wires? Do you just shorten the duty cycle significantly?

My bro uses them on his explorer I built.(bulldog ones, front and rear)
He has never had a problem with them. They never got warm to the touch.

Hmmm. I wonder if the potential peak current is 400+ amps and not the "working" current. Technically if it actually pulled 400+ amps you'd need at least 4/0 or possibly even 500 to travel that distance to the back with minimal voltage drop.
Thanks hudfabxj, that makes me less worried now. haha.
