I've got 2.30" spacers on my 01 now and I had 2" spacers on my 95 before. I drive over 1000 miles a week for work in my XJ and I occasionally rip it down a trail or field just to let her eat. I'm also now running 20" rims with 305/55/R20 BF Goodrich AT KO's and I've never had any problem with ball joints or bearings or even having to re torque and I've got A LOT of wheel on these spacers!!. (I've checked them they just have never loosened up). I'm not saying that stuff isnt possible. but, with all the other wear n tear we put on our XJ's your're gonna end up replacing that stuff anyway sooner or later. If your like me I tend to wait til something goes out and then beef it up with the replacement after, rather then throwing out good parts for better parts. But, in buying my spacers I did get the best quality I could find without looking for the best price. I got both sets I've had from A dapt it USA in Tampa FL they use top quality aluminium. and before you guys say anything YES, I know the wheels n rims are unreasonable but I do wheel repair for a living so my wheels are more for a rolling billboard rather than function. They sure grab on snowy days tho!

I've ran 2" spacers and wheels with 4.5" BS on my dd for the last six or seven months with NO issues.

I think a lot of people complain and tell you no and will warn about extra wear and tear without actually trying them. Obviously it will put more stress on your joints but from my experience and everyone I've known who has run spacers it's an almost negligible amount of extra stress and wear.

As far as dropping your mpg... I think it's pretty safe to say you didn't by your XJ for it's fuel economy!

Hi guys,
what maximum spacers size I can fit without problems with rubbing front tyres against fender? 1 and 1/2 inch would be the maximum?

lift 2",
original rims, tyres 255/60/17.
Thank you.

You want the WJ forum. This is XJ tech. Stick with 1.5" spacers. I ran 2" on my 00' WJ and the tires rubbed slightly when the wheels were fully turned. I had a 2.5" lift.
