Default Wheel size please

I guess this goes in here since its a "modified" question. Whatever.

Simple question is whats the widest wheel I can put 31x10.50x15 tires on?

15x8 ?
15x9 ?

Ive heard for that size tire 15x8 is the max? I was thinking 15x9 would be. Anyone run this size tire on 15x9? Or would 15x8 be the best?

8" width. Reason being that the wider the rim the wider the bead has to be stretched to make it seat. Also, if you ever need to run smaller tires (for whatever reason..) then the narrower rim will allow for this... People run much larger tires on 15x7 rims, btw..

Great point. Im probably going with the typical soft 8. 15x8 since 4" backspace. I was thinking 15x9 thinking it would make the tires stick out further from the fenders. Would it be OK to also run spacers? Ive heard TOO MUCH backspacing will put alot of stress on the axles??

Anything that pushes the tire out more will cause stress. So spacers will also cause stress.
