Well, I put on a 3.5 inch lift, and spent some time taking of fender flares and hacking up my baby lol, just put on some 33 bfgoodrich tires. anyone know what the effects of the bigger tires and or lift will be on my trans, or running gear etc, and how to prevent it. Also, I would love ideas from anyone on what to put on next other than cosmetics, thanks

welcome!

what gears are in your jeep and which rear end? running 4.10s or 4.56s will take some strain off your motor and transmission but many people deal with the loss in power. some people will also tell you to ditch the dana 35 in favor for the 29 spline chrysler 8.25 axle. just depends on what youve already got.

lets see them pics!

not sure on the gears, Im the second owner, and it was bone stock when I got it a couple years ago. I put on a cold air intake thinking I might get a little sumthin, but Im pretty sure I just got a cool sound when I give it throttle... bought a flowmaster for it, still need to get to my brothers welder, hopefully this week, again hoping to get a little sumthin, but I know it wont be too much more than sounding better lol. where can I find what gears I have?

if you can find or read the tag an easy way to find out is to jack the rear end up and block the front tires so it doesnt roll away. rotate your tire one full rotation while counting how many times the driveshaft rotates. its easier with a buddy or make some marks on the tire and driveshaft to see it easier. if it rotates around 3 times you have 3.07, 3 and a half you have 3.55 or a little more then 4 is 4.10 and so on.

photobucket.com!!! and if it is sluggish then regear to 410 or 456. if you can deal with the sluggishness then keep them. yes there is more strain on the motor but if you are easy on the skinny pedal than there is no need to worry about the motor. the 4.0 can easily handle it!

the motor could, i would mostly be worried about the tranny. i would regear and while youre paying for that might as well do lockers and knock it all out at once.
