whats my XJ worth?
ok folks I am being forced to sell my silver 01 XJ Sport. odometer reads 106,6XX, but the Jasper "reman" that was installed in Dec. 2011 and has had about 10,000 miles put on it.
this XJ has a pieced together 3" kit of which originally started as a skyjacker kit (dont ask). anyway as of now it has skyjacker lower control arms (needs new bushings), stock upper CAs, and SJ 3" coils. its got a Rubicon Express track bar and bracket. Rubicon Express 1.5" leaf spring shackles. BDS shocks. Old Man Emu steering stabilizer. ball joints were replaced about a year and a half ago along with new front break pads. its got an AEM dryflo cone air filter, but i also still have the stock air box. front axle is dana 30 rear is Chrysler 8.25 w/ 29 splice shafts. stock gears. no slip yoke installed due to never having any wobble. lower doors, front and rear bumper, and wheel wells have all been sprayed with Upols Raptor liner in black. door trim has been removed, but the flares are still there and in the stock location.
there are currently some 15" Eagle Alloy classic IIs on it wrapped in Goodyear MTR w/ Kevlar in 31"x10.5" installed just last December. the tires are still like new.
so yeah, can you all help me find a fair price for this Jeep? what would you list it as?
would i be better off swapping the wheel and tires and trying to sell them buy themselves?

Looks and sounds like a $5000 rig if it isn't rusty. Blue book is at least that, but they seem to put an awfully high tag on XJs for some reason. Mine is the same year but a 2 door with 260k on it and they claim its still worth $6000. Check out Edmunds.com and put your info in for a real world value based on your location.

Not familiar with that area. I live in the rust belt so anything low mile and rust free is worth more than where you live. Check out KBB or Edmunds and go from there. They have you put you zip code in so you will get a value based on your locaton. Usually its worth more with the rims and tires.

Clean it up really nice. Wheels,Tires, Engine, Interior EVERYTHING and go to a park or some place you can park in the grass and take tons of pictures and then put it on Ebay. Make sure it is sunny outside. Make a video walk around for it too. XJs sell very good in the Midwest. If you have receipts for the new engine and all the work you did you could get what you want for it.
Some example photos https://picasaweb.google.com/108879935503662922654/EBAY
Its all in the presentation.
I have sold a bunch of cars on Ebay. Tell people that you will sill it outside of Ebay. That way you wont have to pay the fees ebay charges.
Do you know how many owners it had before you.

just be very careful of ebay scammers if they say they are working on an oil rig and want to transfer the money and will have an agent pick up the car... etc... etc run away, only sell to local buyers and if you take a bank check go to the bank it was issued on and cash it there with buyer. never hand over the title till you have cash in youre hand im sure if you google car buying scams or something like that you will learn more, good luck
