What parts for fuel economy increase?
I have a stock, unmolested engine in my 2000 cherokee. No intake, exhaust, not even a K&N filter. I did a 2" lift, cut the fenders, and I am running 31x10.5" tires. Right now I average just under 16 mpg. I would like another couple of miles out of each gallon. Any suggestions on what has worked for you, exhaust, cai, tb spacer, tc lockup switch, etc..
Thank you all for your help.

Not lifting the jeep, not putting oversized tires on, and driving like a granny.
Most CAI's are BS, TB Spacers are BS, exhuast rarely ever benefits fuel mileage.

I've read lots of ideas for fuel economy improvement, but I doubt there's much you can do other than routine maintenance. Make sure you have clean fluids, your air filter is clean, a tune up within a reasonable time, properly inflated tires, etc.
If you are getting approx. 16mpg, you are probably about average. That's about what I get, sometimes a little better.

Id say exhaust and intake don't waste your money on anything else, but if you want better gas mileage your driving the wrong vehicle ha

Lucas oils are the best for slight increases. I use the oil stabilizer for every oil change and fuel injector cleaner a lot of the times, the oil stablizer gives me atleast a bump of 15lbs. for oil pressure and the injection cleaner is usually noticeable for fuel mpg's, atleast 1-3 miles. All depends on where and how you drive.
I have also installed 3" exhaust and K&N cold air intake which have both helped. I tried the a throttle body spacer which was a waste of $80.

Let's see if I can offer a bit of advice.
I have a '91 Limited and I just installed the 4 hole upgraded injectors. I am already seeing better fuel economy. I too was averaging 16mpg if I babied the throttle and used cruise control as much as possible. I haven't finished a full tank of gas yet on the new injectors but I can already tell by how much slowly the fuel gauge is dropping that I'm at least getting a tiny bit better fuel consumption. I will post numbers if you want after I calculate mileage.
I bought my injectors from http://motors.shop.ebay.com/smokesta...1&_from=&_ipg=
I have also put on a K&N air filter with an adapter from Rusty's Offroad, and the PO put a Magnaflow exhaust on it. The K&N at least changed throttle response, so I'd guess it helped fuel economy a tiny bit at least.
Also try a seafoam treatment, it seems like it helped a bit too.

Bored TB (strokedjeep.com), Tune-up, Upgraded multi-hole fuel injectors, exhaust (header/downpipe, muffler etc)
Not sure if the TC lockup will set off CEL, but they work great otherwise.
Proper air pressure in tires. Adjust TV cable.

you can't spend money if you're only goal is better MPGs it cheeper just to buy the gas. make sure you have good oil, tune up all the sensors are good and drive it. you can't spend money on intakes or stuff like that in hopes you'll save money. $300 for a part is a lot of gas if it only goes up 1 mpg to pay off to be back equal.

I'm happy with the 16mpg, I was just curious if there were any actual mpg benefits in the cold air or the exhaust. They all advertise increases but I'm sure they were all way to high on the % of increase. I change the oil every 3k on the dot, use 5 quarts of mobile and 1 quart of lucas, mopper filter. Changed the front and rear diff fluid, doing the trans and transfer case this weekend. The trans fluid looked a little dark, any recommendations on a brand? It is atf+4 right? And which weight in the t-case?
