As I was installing my RC 4.5 inch lift I got to wondering. I only had the money for a aal rear lift, who here their lift with aal's, and who here got a lift with a full spring pack rear?

I was never a fan of aal's because the oem leaf packs are weak and they frown after they drive off the dealer lot.

Full packs ftw, but AAL isn't something to stay away from. Its just not as good.

Mine isn't the traditional AAL, though, right?

I got an AAL cause it was all I could afford at the time. But in the next couple weeks I plan on hitting up the junkyards and making myself a bastard pack and getting new coils in the front

I do plan on supplementing the aal by also replacing the two middle springs in my spring pack with the two middle springs from a Dakota spring pack. They are about the same size, and thickness as my xj springs, they just aren't as saggy.

My xj has r.e. 4.5" leaf packs and they seem kinda stiff. I mean they flex great, but i can jump up and down on the hitch and it will only move 1 or 2 inches.
