Like he said. If it's not broken there is really no need to replace the stock one. But if it is I'd go with a nice magnaflow high flow cat

Depends. If you get a high flow one along with the exhaust then yes performance will improve

Well, starting at some point in the 90s the factory cats are "high flow". And legally, unless it is damaged, you are not supposed to R+R emission components, especially cats.
